Title: Sailfishing Turns On
Sailfish action has picked up to phenomenal proportions. Anglers up and down the southeast coast were enjoying winter like sailfish action before the winds picked up to near gale force. The hottest spot seems to be the area just north of the Whistle Buoy off north Key Largo. Anglers caught five and six a day on Saturday and Sunday. I fished a little further south off Pennecamp State Park and we missed a sail, caught a 36 pound Wahoo, a few dolphin and had some screamers on that we never saw that hit the mid water line while being fished for king fish. I look for action to continue with Sailfish being the hot bite, with dolphin and kingfish mixing in the action. As soon as the wind dies I would expect great fishing offshore.
